Even if your computer appears to act better, it may still be infected. The cleaning process, once started, has to be completed.Keep updating me regarding your computer behavior, good, or bad.Never run more than one scan at a time.Please refrain from running any tools, fixes or applying any changes to your computer other than those I suggest.If you're stuck, or you're not sure about certain step, always ask before doing anything else.Your mistakes during cleaning process may have very serious consequences, like unbootable computer. Read all of my instructions very carefully.I have read many threads here on TS regarding Adware/Malware removal and as each topic is specific to the user,I thought it best to start a new topic and ask for assistance. The only information I have is from an Avast! Boot-Time scan which has revealed the following: "We are unable to complete the updates,undoing changes."
I also have not been able to download the latest updates from Microsoft,an on-screen message said: The same thing happened when I tried to download and run Adw Cleaner.the tool did not complete installation. I then tried to download MBAM and the installation aborted due to " Failure to complete Shortcuts." I did try to change the size of the icons manually via Control Panel/Settings,this had no effect at all. Hi, I have been investigating why the Icons on my Desktop suddenly appeared larger and the homepage screen locked.
